Project Name: Women's Participation in National Support (WINS)

Donor: Common Ground Organization

Duration: Six months, from August 2023 to January 2024

Target Group: Women survivors of violence, marginalized and disabled women, lawyers, and social workers

Project Activities:

• Sewing skills training course for 20 women

• Accessories making training course for 20 women

• Exhibition to showcase the products

• Training course on protection, prevention of violence and psychological distress, and case management for 15 specialists (12 women and 3 men)

• Awareness sessions for 135 community members across the three districts

• Group psychosocial support sessions for 60 women survivors of violence across the three districts

• Open day event at the Central Women's Prison as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, with distribution of hygiene kits to female inmates

• Training course on personal status law, women's rights, and legal skills related to litigation procedures.

• Field visits conducted by the trained team to survey and gather information on the difficulties faced by women and girls in accessing legal services.

• Workshop bringing together newly graduated lawyers and eight service providers to discuss these difficulties and establish a protection network comprised of lawyers and service providers.

• Formation of the "Women's Protection Network."
